Happy fashion month! This week marks the beginning of NYFW where brands are showcasing their Fall/Winter 2023 collections. As both fashion lovers and a New York City based brand, these are the three shows that we're looking forward to.

Suits and stripes–the Thom Browne signature. Rigid silhouettes and clean tailoring. The designer plays around with color stories, pattern mixing, and layered textures as seen with the SS23 collection and Pre-fall 23. This is the brand’s first show after winning a trademark infringement lawsuit against Adidas over the “three stripes” logo. As now the chairman of the CFDA, all eyes are keen to see what the brand’s take on variety within suits for this collection.

Cucculelli Shaheen

This would be the first fall/winter showing for the New York City-based brand. Partners Anthony Cuccunelli and Anna Rose Shaheen showcased their spring/summer 2023 collection full of embellished gown galore. The duo met while working in Diane Von Fursstenberg’s West Village Studio and started Cucculelli Shaheen in 2016. Their gowns themselves are jewels within classic feminine silhouettes such as deep plunges and open-backs. With the inspiration behind their craftsmanship coming from art and music, we’re all excited to see what they’ll be bringing to life in the form of glimmer and intricate hand-beading beauty.

Texture, fun, and grit. Those three words are synonymous not only with Anna Sui, but New York City as well. The designer has often stated how the subcultures of New York have and continue to inspire her work and her city hustle, hard work, and perseverance is now a global brand. Anna Sui’s dynamic approach to blending the constructed line grunge and romance, vintage and pop-culture, gives a story to all who are not afraid to blur, mix, or cross boundaries. With a brand expanding from clothing to decor and beauty, we’re just happy to be here and see more of the world of Anna Sui.
